Basic Principles concerning the Eldership

We need to encourage the young saints, especially the young brothers, to study the Word diligently so that they will be prepared to take care of the churches in the future. As the Lord’s recovery spreads, the need for elders increases. We cannot pray, fellowship, and labor for the spread of the churches without considering this need. The young ones should spend much time studying the Word in order to be built up in the full knowledge of the truth. We must also encourage them to seek the Lord for their growth in life. If the young saints grow in a balanced way in life and truth, they will be well prepared to take care of the churches. …the strength of the eldership depends on life and teaching. (p 67)

Have you seen what is revealed in Mark 8:27—9:13? Here we have a revelation of Christ’s Person and His death and resurrection. Oh, we all need to see this! I am concerned that some of us have not seen the crucial matters of Christ’s all-inclusive Person, His wonderful death, and His marvelous resurrection. If we see them, we shall say, “Amen! Amen to Christ! Amen to the death of Christ! Amen to the resurrection of Christ! Amen to my termination! Because I have been terminated, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. Christ is the entire replacement in this universe. God does not want Moses, God does not want Elijah, and God does not want me in what I am. The sense of life, therefore, is very much related to the fellowship of life. The fellowship of life helps us to realize the sense of life by bringing us into the presence of God, where we may enjoy the shining God as light. This shining makes us clear about everything. It penetrates into every corner and avenue of our being, bringing to us a very tender and keen sense. A slight mistake is immediately detected by this sense. The more we have the flowing of life, the more we are in the presence of God, and the more shining we will experience. The more we experience this shining, the more we will realize a keen and tender sense. It is by this sense that we can know God, His will, and His way. This sense searches and test everything. The Living that Fulfills God’s Eternal Purpose

We were originally created of clay, but one day the Lord put Himself into us as a new element in order that we may experience a metabolic change. This metabolic change needs not only the Lord as the new element to replace our old element, but also an environment of heat and pressure. Many times the Lord puts us into an environment of heat and pressure. We need a certain amount of burning and pressing; otherwise, we will remain created material that has not been transformed. In order to be transformed from clay into precious stones for God’s building, we must pass through a process of burning and pressing. We need not be afraid of this, but when we experience it, we should know where we are. (pp. 63)

The right track, therefore, is to take Christ as our life and everything and then to meet with all the seeking ones purely as a living, corporate expression of Christ. This will bring much blessing from the Lord to His people. We have the assurance that in these days, before He comes back, the Lord will recover Christ as life and the church as His expression, not by a movement or a revival but by the fellowship of the Body of Christ and the current of life. The Importance of Living Christ by Walking According to the Spirit

To walk according to the spirit is to do everything in our daily life according to the spirit. We need to walk according to the spirit moment by moment, not only in big things but also in small things, such as writing a letter or talking with family at the dinner table. If we cannot do or say something according to the spirit, we should not do or say it. We must admit that we are short of such a living. To pray only during the meetings or when we face a great problem is not to walk according to the spirit. Our walking according to the spirit in our daily living should be like our breathing. If we do not live Christ or walk according to the spirit, our spiritual activities may be a performance. We should not act one way int the meetings and another way in our daily life.

In exactly the same principle, a Christian is a Christ man. A Christian is one who day by day is eating Christ, drinking Christ, digesting Christ, becoming mingled with Christ. After some time, Christ to a certain extent becomes this man.

...a Christian is something of Christ. This morning he eats a little of Christ, and this evening he eats a little of Christ. Day by day He eats Christ and drinks Christ. Christ is gradually digested by him and mingled with him so that he and Christ become one. Then when he comes together with other Christians who have done the same thing, he brings Christ and they too bring Christ. Christ is everything to them. Christ is their very constitution. Wherever they go they cannot help but bring Christ. When they meet together they offer Christ to God, they enjoy Christ together, and they exhibit Christ. Whenever they speak, Christ comes out. Everything is Christ. This is the habitation of God; this is the home of God.

How can man meet God?

There is one thing that frustrates us from meeting God—sin. Once sin exists, we cannot see God's face. Sin turns us away from God. God has prepared a way for us to deal with our sins, which is the Lord's crucifixion on the cross. Through the cross, He took away our sins. He died for our sins, and He was beaten for us. He was hung on the cross for our sins. The Lord Jesus has died and resurrected. Now everyone who believes in Him can come boldly to God because the middle wall of partition has been removed. The problem of sin is solved, and we can come to God without any fear. One day we all will see God. We will either be accepted as God's people or rejected as God's enemies. The Lord has died, and all the problems of sin have been solved. Let us come to God and receive Him. No one can come to God with any hindrance. Who are those who cannot come to God? Friends, are you a Christian? Are you an atheist? I beg you to believe in the Lord Jesus. Is there anyone here today who will receive Jesus Christ as his Savior?

Friends, remember that one day you will see God. There is no way for you to hide; you will eventually have to come face to face with God. The only way to hide is to hide in the Lord; there is no other way. One day when you see God's face and want to hide, it may be too late. Therefore, all those who desire to receive the Lord should receive Him now. Do not delay.

He makes us able

Not only do we have to see that we are unable; we have to realize that God is able! (Luke 18:27). The young ruler only saw that he was unable and concluded that God was the same and proceeded to leave sorrowfully. But God is able! Do not think that when you are unable everything is over with you. The inability of man is the beginning of the ability of God. It is the time for God to show forth His power. Not that we are able, but His doing a work for us makes us able.

The meaning of Christ being our life is this: formerly man lived by his own life, but the natural life is ousted by the coming in of the resurrection life of Christ. The "I" who formerly lived is gone, and the life of Christ comes in to take its place. Then it is no longer I who live. When the life within is exchanged, the behavior without cannot remain the same. Because our life is Christ, we can fulfill Christ's commandments. It is not the power of Christ helping us to conform to His ordinances. Rather, it is the life of Christ substituting ours to live out His commandments. When His life inside is working, we can keep His laws.

Christ died for our sins

We will select a few more passages to see how Christ accomplished redemption for us.

Romans 5:6-8: "For while we were yet weak, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will anyone die, though perhaps for the good man someone would even dare to die. But God commends His own love to us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 5: 9-10: "Much more then, having now been justified in His blood, we will be saved through Him from the wrath. For if we, being enemies, were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more we will be saved in His life, having been reconciled." This shows us clearly that the death of Christ was not the death of a martyr. He did not die for a belief or a cause. He died for sin, in order for a way to be opened for sinners to be declared guiltless! Hence, 1 Corinthians 15:3 says that Christ "died for our sins."

Hebrews 9:22b: "Without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. " Sin can only be forgiven after judgement.

First Peter 2:24: "Who Himself bore up our sins in His body on the tree, in order that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose bruise you are healed." Then 3:18: "For Christ also has suffered once for sins, the Righteous on the behalf of the unrighteous, that He might bring you to God, on the one hand being put to death in the flesh, but on the other, made alive in the spirit."

First John 1:7: "But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin."

The All-inclusive Christ

The ark is clearly a type of Christ with two natures. It was made of wood overlaid with gold. Wood is the human nature, and gold is the divine nature. It is a picture of Christ in the flesh mingled with the divine nature. He has the nature of man, and at the same time He has the nature of God—the human nature and the divine nature. He is the ark, but within Him is God Himself. Just as the ten commandments were put into the ark, so all that God is was put into Christ. Just as the ark was called “the ark of the testimony,” so Christ is the manifestation and testimony of God. This is something more, you see, than the lamb of the Passover and the daily manna. This is something solid, perfect, and full. This is the manifestation of God, the expression of God, the testimony of God.

Eating the Lord

God needs the man-child. God will shame Satan by using the very man Satan corrupted to defeat him. God may say, “Satan, you have corrupted the man I created, but I have produced a man-child out of this corrupted man to defeat you, not only on the earth but also in heaven.” The man-child will fight up to the throne to cast Satan down from the heavens to the earth. Although Jesus has defeated Satan on the cross, there is still the need for the church to execute His victory over the enemy. Because many members of the Body have failed in this matter, only the stronger part of the Body, than man-child, will execute Christ’s victory over Satan. The man-child will be raptured to the heavens to accomplish this job.

The Sanctifying Word Seperating Us from the World

The evil one is the Devil, and the world is an evil system arranged systematically and ruled by the Devil, Satan. Satan has systematized all the things on earth, especially those related to mankind, into his kingdom of darkness to possess people, to distract them from the enjoyment of God, and to frustrate them from fulfilling God's purpose. Therefore, the world denotes the enemy's scheme, system, and organization to usurp the place of God in man and finally to gain full possession of man. Since the whole world lies in the evil one, the believers must be kept from the evil one.

Both kinds of words are holy, having the sanctifying power to separate the believers from the world. The more we take either the Lord's constant word or instant word into us, the more we are sanctified. The more we are nourished, saturated, and permeated with the Lord's constant or instant word, the holier we become. And the more holiness we partake of, the more we are in the genuine oneness. God's living word works in the believers to save them from being enslaved by the world, separating them from the world and its occupation unto God and His purpose.

Jesus Being the “I am”

Praise the Lord! I treasure that the Lord Jesus is the great I Am. In 8:24 the Lord had told the Jewish people, “Unless you believe that I am, you shall die in your sins.” Amen!

Judas, the false disciple, came with two kinds of people—the political and the religious. The soldiers were the political ones, and the deputies from the chief priests and Pharisees were the religious ones. The religious circle worked with the political circle to put the Lord of life to death. However, they did not find the Lord; the Lord came to them. The soldiers did not come to the Lord and capture Him while He was praying. No, Jesus went forth to meet them.

They were frightened when the Lord answered with this word “I am,” which is the meaning of the name “Jehovah.” This indicates that the One they came to arrest was Jehovah God. The name “Jehovah” means “I Am that I Am.” The Lord Jesus is the great I Am. In 8:24 the Lord had told the Jewish people, “Unless you believe that I am, you shall die in your sins.” In other words, if they did not believe that Jesus was Jehovah, the very God, they would die in their sins. The Jewish people heard this, and when they heard it again, they
fell down to the ground with fright.

If He had been unwilling to die, no one could have captured Him. All He had to do was speak one word and His captors would have been dead. How could they have seized Him if He were unwilling to be captured? This proves that the Lord is the Lord of life and that He was willing to die in order to release Himself as life.

God’s Appearing Causes Total Consecration (1)

In this verse [Gen. 12:7] we see that the altar is based on 
God's appearance. Where there is no divine appearance, there 
is no altar. No one can offer himself to God unless he has 
first met God. Unless God has appeared to a man, he cannot 
offer his all to God. Consecration is not the result of man's 
exhortation or persuasion but of God's revelation. No one can 
voluntarily offer up all he has on the altar if God has not 
first appeared to him. By nature, no one can offer himself to 
God. Even when a man does want to offer himself to God, he 
finds that he really has nothing to offer. Some have said, “I 
want to give my heart to the Lord, but my heart will not 
agree.” Man cannot come over to God's side. However, when man 
meets God, consecration takes place spontaneously in his 
life. If you catch sight of God just once and touch God just 
once, you are no longer your own. God is Someone who cannot 
be touched lightly! Once a man touches God, he can no longer 
live for himself.

We need to realize that the power to offer oneself to God 
comes through His appearance; it comes from His revelation. 
Those who talk about consecration are not necessarily 
consecrated themselves. Not everyone who preaches 
consecration or understands the doctrine of consecration is a 
consecrated person. Only those who have seen God are 
consecrated persons. God appeared to Abraham, and the 
immediate issue was that Abraham built an altar to God. The 
Lord Jesus appeared to Paul on the road to Damascus, and Paul 
immediately asked, “What shall I do, Lord?” (Acts 22:10). A 
turning point in our spiritual life does not come through our 
decision to do something for God; it does not come as a 
result of our resolving to do this or that for God. It comes 
when we see Him. When we meet God, a radical change takes 
place in our life. We can no longer do what we did in the 
past. When we meet God Himself, we have the power to deny 
ourselves. The matter of denying one's self ceases to be 
optional when we have met God. His appearance makes a person 
unable to go on by himself; it forces him to not live by 
himself anymore. God's appearance brings with it 
inexhaustible power. Such an appearance will alter the whole 
course of a person's life. For a Christian, the power to live 
for God is based on his vision of God. Oh! It is not our 
decision to serve the Lord that enables us to serve Him. It 
is not our will to build an altar that produces an altar. An 
altar is built when God comes to a man.

Praise the Lord for book of Isaiah! Initially this book shows us the backward situation of the children of Israel, "Alas, sinful nation, A people heavy with iniquity, Seed of evildoers, Children acting corruptly! They have forsaken Jehovah; They have despised the Holy One of Israel; They have become estranged and have gone backward." (Isa. 1:4) We can see their situation from chapter 1 to 5 of this book, full with sin, iniquity, and deadness. But praise the Lord for Isaiah 6:1, "In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting on a high and lofty throne, and the train of His robe filled the temple." The Lord who is filled with glory revealed Himself to Isaiah when he was in a deadened situation. Dear brothers and sisters, may the Lord open our eyes to see what Isaiah saw. We need to exercise our spirit, pray to Him to open our inner eye, sober our heart, so that our hearts may be softened to see the vision of Christ is glory. The Lord is revealed to Isaiah as a king in glory. I treasure that we just need to look away unto Jesus, turn to Him who lived a life expressing all the splendour of His divinity and His aromatic human virtue. His glory is being unveiled in Isaiah 6:2-4.

Dear brothers and sisters, we need to see the matter of revelation. Whenever we pray, “Lord, reveal Yourself to me everyday!” We need to know that revelation consists of seeing and killing. The Lord’s shining is the shining of Himself, as the Light of the world (John 9:5). Surely, when God shines Himself on us, there is the killing element that kills away our uncleanness, our natural constitution and disposition. We do not need to be afraid of this killing, instead we need to give the Lord opportunity to appear in us. His appearance and shining have the healing effect, this effect is the adding of Christ into you! Amen! We need to have this kind of prayer, “Lord, cleanse me, forgive me, show me the vision that You have shown to Isaiah!” How to be cleansed by the Lord? We need to allow the Lord to shine on us, so that we can experience this killing of the self. How we need to be saved from gossiping, murmurings, reasoning and opinions! The Lord really shined on me, exposing to myself how often I reason, murmur and complain in my heart. Dear saints, praise the Lord that we can spend time with the Lord, not for other persons, things or matters, but just to gain more Christ! When we see God, we gain God! Amen! May we all see what is the vision saw by Isaiah-the very Christ in glory.

Isaiah 6:6-7 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with an ember in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. And he touched my mouth with it and said, Now that this has touched your lips, Your iniquity is taken away, and your sin is purged. These Bible verses show us the effectiveness of Christ’s redemption, applying to us by the Holy Spirit. Our iniquity and sins are burned away whenever we contact this Life-giving Spirit. O Lord Jesus! Save me in the areas where I have not been saved! We have been eternally saved from eternal perdition, eternal judgement, and eternal death in the lake of fire. But in terms of being released from the law of sin, we still have not been fully saved.

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us? And I said, Here I am; send me.” (Isaiah 6:8) We need to hear what the Lord wants to say to us, that we may be burdened with the church, the Body of Christ. So that we can accomplish and fulfil His economy, to be the generation that brings the Lord back. Young people, we need to have great resolution and great goal in our heart to take up the burden to bring the Lord back. May we be governed by this unique goal: Bring the Lord back! We need the Lord’s leading is this matter, so that we can be gained by Him to become those that fulfil His purpose. Many times we are discouraged by our outward situations, but we need to learn the secret of God’s organic salvation and the key to the entire Christian life-the divine spirit mingled with our human spirit.

Everyone of us need to experience Him as our salvation. Is our soul filled with Christ or with Satan? O Lord Jesus, I open myself to You, gain every channel within me, that I may be filled with you thoroughly. May we all be more open Him, enjoy Him to the extent of building up the church, His increase.

Dear brothers and sisters, we need to learn to drink of Him as the living water. Initially, we need to realize that we are already positioned to drink of the Spirit. How do we drink of this spirit? It is by calling on the name of the Lord continuously. I am so glad that I have this wonderful name to call every morning, or whenever I feel weak, powerless, dead and down. The Lord is so dear and near to me, He is like my best friend, my comforter, my best audience, my lover, my husband, my Lord and my king. Praise the Lord! Secondly, may we all be thirsty before Him, so that we have the desire to drink of Him as the living water. May the Lord lead us to come before Him. Dear saints, if we can just put down our self and come to drink of Him, this would be marvellous. Surely not only we are satisfied by the Lord, the Lord is satisfied by us too. Moreover, we need to request from the Lord to give us the living water. We are no longer thirsty people living in this world, since we have an unlimited deposit of living water, Christ! “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who is thirty come; let him who wills take the water of life freely.”(Rev. 22:17) Come, O Come to the Lord! Praise the Lord! Come and contact Him in spirit and truthfulness. Believe into Him! Believe that He is! When we are filled and saturated by the Lord, our mouth will overflow with praise to our dear and precious Lord. Speak to Him, speak with Him, speak for him and be one with Him. I Love You, Lord Jesus! I am willing to let You to have the top priority! Lord, You are my head, cause me to do everything according to Your divine nature. Hallelujah!

Living by Grace and Knowing the Body

The Lord brings us further by touching our living as Christians. This message concerns our living, whether we live our Christian life by grace or by our natural effort. Dear saints, we need to live by grace, without which we cannot fulfill God's eternal purpose.

In order to live a life for the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose, we need to live by grace of God in the economy of God. Initially, we need to realise that the grace of God is the greatest truth in the New Testament, since the grace of God is equivalent to God's incarnation, which shortens the distance between God and man that man may experience God in a subjective way. And the Word became flesh and tabernacle among us (and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only Begotten from the Father), full of grace and reality. (John 1:14) Grace is the manifestation of the Triune God in His embodiment in three aspects-the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. Grace is Christ coming into us to be our full enjoyment. Amen! Praise Him that I can have a full enjoyment of Christ whenever I set my mind on the spirit. Satan cannot touch me whenever I am in my spirit. I treasure the blending this morning when everyone of us just open up ourselves, forgot about our condition, morning blues and just simply enjoy Him as grace. Whenever our dear brothers and sisters open their mouths to pray-read or share, I felt very much supplied. The Lord was in our midst this morning, supplying us with Himself as grace.

Dear saints, we need to know the secret of our Christian life: God is everything, God does everything, and God gives everything. God is and we are not. We need to realise that we are not. It is very often that we do this, do that, and do everything with our natural effort. But, the Lord just wants us to stop all our natural effort, give up and let Him do everything. Live by the resurrection life to reign over our situation. Do you feel down? Call upon His name! Do you feel sad? Pray read His Word. How about when you are happy? We still need to live by His Life. Experiencing grace is a 24/7 matter, regardless how’s our current condition. We just keep receiving grace no matter what happens. This is a learning process. We need to learn to enjoy the Lord Himself as grace.

The consummation of the believers’ experience of the grace of God in His economy is the church as the Body of Christ. In order to live a life for the fulfilment of God’s eternal purpose, we need to know the Body. The goal of God’s economy is to produce a Body for His Son. This Body fulfils God’s desire for His expression and for the destruction of Satan. The Lord urgently needs the reality of the Body of Christ to be expressed in the local churches, unless there is a substantial expression of the Body, the Lord Jesus will not return. Christ in Himself is the Head, and Christ in all of us is the Body. The work of the Triune God in us is to produce and build up the Body of Christ. The Body is the governing law of the life and work of the children of God. All the problems of the church today are due to the ignorance concerning the Body of Christ. The biggest problem is not knowing the Body and not caring for the Body. The way that we behave ourselves in the church, the ministry, and the work depends upon the degree of our seeing the Body. We need to know the Body in life. The Body of Christ is formed by Christ as life in us, this life mingles with us to become the Body of Christ. Knowing the Body in life is the result of our experience of life and spiritual growth. Knowing the Body requires that we deal with the flesh, the self, and the natural constitution, only when the flesh has been dealt with, the self has been abandoned, and the natural constitution has been broken can we touch the reality of the Body. Knowing the Body is a dealing with individualism, those who do not know the Body are individualistic. We need to know the Body in practice. A local church is an expression of the Body of Christ in a particular locality, the one universal church-the Body of Christ- becomes the many local churches-the local expressions of the Body of Christ. If we know the Body, in our consideration the Body will be first and the local churches will be second. (ref. Memorial Day Conference, message 3 outline)

Transformation involves the Spirit's working both inwardly and outwardly. The Spirit works outwardly in our circumstances for the sake of His inward working. For example, the Spirit may use our children to help transform us. We may expect that our children will be submissive and obedient. But a certain child
may be stubborn or even rebellious. Such a child can cause us to be pressed for the sake of our transformation. As an elderly person with many children and grandchildren, I can testify that
the Spirit often uses our children to press us and "burn us" as part of His work of transformation. I also came to see that I need other pressures as well. It takes a great deal of intensified heat and pressure for clay to become precious stones. According to Romans 8:28, God causes all things to work together for good on our behalf. We need all things to work for us. Therefore, we should not be surprised when even our children are used to press us and burn us so that we may become precious stones.

Many Christians are under the influence of the teaching that if we believe in the Lord Jesus and behave ourselves properly for the glory of God, we shall be blessed and prospered in every way. According to this teaching, we shall be successful and prosperous. Furthermore, supposedly our children will become successful in their chosen professions. If this teaching is accurate, then Paul must be the most pitiful believer who ever lived. Listen to what he says in 4:11-13: "Until the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and are naked and beaten and wander without a home; and we labor, working with our own hands; being reviled we bless, being persecuted we bear it, being defamed we appeal; we have become as the offscouring of
the world, as the scum of all things until now." Is this the description of one who is successful and prosperous? Paul's situation was very different from that promised by the teaching that those who believe in the Lord and live properly will be blessed materially. However, Paul was in fact the most blessed of Christians, for he was truly constituted of the Triune God.

We praise the Lord that we are receiving the Lord's nourishment and are also undergoing the process of transformation. We are also thankful for the heat and pressure which are transforming us from clay into precious stones.

Visit by the saints~

Wow, it sure IS cold today. The temperature displayed on my laptop was -1 degrees Celsius. You can even see the smoke puffing out from your mouth when you speak or say something. Sister Carol gave me a 'wake-up call' yesterday morning to inform of their arrival today. Sister Ming Ming from Newcastle also came over to Glasgow by airplane when she heard of Brother Joe and Sister Carol's coming. Praise the Lord for the members of the Body. Brother Joe and Sister Carol drove up to Glasgow from London, visiting a few broadcast listeners on the way. Brother Joe gave us a brief insight on how the broadcasting started in London, and how many believers were brought into a deeper enjoyment of Christ through these broadcasting. It was quite enlightening to hear how some people started listening to the broadcast. For instance, there were those who were fascinated with the 'strange' accent on the broadcast while driving (Brother Lee, of course :) , thereby pulling their car over at the sidewalk to further listen to what is being said. And through this, many were enlightened by the riches from the ministry and brought to a further enjoyment of God's word.

And being a typical not-so-good host, i never thought of preparing anything for the saints! Well, it was embarrassing, of course. Still can't believe we let them walk all the way to a Malaysian place to eat (15 mins walk from our place) and they even treated us for that meal. For us students, 15mins walk is of course, a piece of cake. But it's definitely not as proper for these older saints to walk so far, although they said "yea, 15mins walk is fine~ It's one-five right? Not five-O. haha.." However, while walking we still talked and laughed on the way, so it isn't too bad..

However, through their visit, Stella brought up that being with the saints just has that sort of different feeling. I told her, ya she's right. It's nice being with the saints. It's just a different feeling than being with others. You can feel the difference. Truly. And once again i thanked the Lord that we all have Christ within us. We have this same Person within us. Although outwardly we may look different, speak in different accents, have different preferences. However, it is the One within us which pulls us together. Lord, i thank You that I am given this privilege to Love You, and to have this Faith in You.

我们的性格是30%先天，70%后天的，所以大部分是靠后天培养的。没有一个性格比懒惰更严重。一个懒惰的人会把大事化成小事，小事化成无事。然后，事情在他手中会拖延。一个懒惰的人，照马太福音，就有资格不进诸天的国，因为他是又恶又懒的仆人。一个懒惰的人，甚至连撒旦也用不着。

主说要"举目观看"因为庄稼已经发白了，可是我们好像门徒一样说要等四个月(约4:35)。我们若“举目观看”一下召会里的服事，单单利未服事，事情是要作都作不完，那牧养年幼圣徒呢？谁来作？求主怜悯我们，叫我们不懒惰；使徒保罗乃是殷勤多作主工。

弟兄然后说到如何“听人说话”。当有圣徒来和我们交通，我们要学习从他的话中听三样东西：1 讲出来的话； 2 没有讲出来的话；和 3 他灵里面的话。作主的工有一个需要，就是能安静的坐下来听别人的话，并且听懂；如果不能听懂别人的难处，那我们在主手中就没有用处。

那我们如何能听懂人的话呢？我们要学习在神面前安静。弟兄给我们三点：1 不要主观（没有自己的意见）； 2 思想安静、不留荡； 3 感觉别人所感觉的（自己的感觉必须相当客观）。为着这个，我们的感觉必须受对付。我们的感觉受了对付，才不忙。我们这个人的思想是川流不息的，需要十字架的对付。我们是神的器皿，是神的量表；若这个量表不行，就不能测出别人的“体温”来。（主工人的性格。第一篇：会听别人的话）

Experience of the Lord

Lord, I treasure this sweet flow of life! Thank You Lord that You preserve and keep us in Your recovery. The blending and gospel move in Cameron highlands enlightened me with new experiences before Him. Lord, thank You for showing me the ending of man is the beginning of God. The cherishing of the morning dew is very refreshing in terms of showing me the God-ordained way of prayer, the Spirit, and the Word. Lord, praise You for enabling me to experience Galatians 2:20, I am crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. The Lord reminded me that I put too much natural efforts in doing His works, so He allowed strong wind and rain as obstacles for our trial. Lord, praise You for exhausting the self, that You may have a way within me for Your propagation. The Lord seems to be saying, “you relied too much on your natural strength and effort, you are not as strong as I’m.” Hallelujah that our Lord is the great “I AM”. Whatever you need, He is. Dear brothers and sisters, we need to say “I’m willing” to the Lord. The Lord showed me that if I’m willing to let the Lord have a way, then He will. I was in a temper when the Lord reminded me with the messages from the scriptures. Dear brothers and sisters, it is sufficed if you can believe 2 Corinthians 12:9, or Luke 18:27. We merely need to believe “I’m willing”. “I’m willing” and the hardships are over, so also with the bad temper. Lord, I do believe Your grace is sufficient for me. I cannot overcome bad temper by myself, but Christ can overcome it for me. The degree of our experience of the Lord depends on the degree of our openness to Him. The more our entire being is open to Him, the more He will shower us with experiences of Christ, the one that satisfies God’s heart desire.

While we were preaching the gospel with the saints, I really treasure the coordinating with the brother and sisters. Thank the Lord to keep us in prayer while we were travelling. The Lord kept us in the coordination of the four living creatures, learned to follow and lead in Christ. The Lord also reminded me to take care of the weaker vessels, by His mercy. We also need to take care of other saints’ need while we were following the heavenly vision. Coordinating with the saints brings in more practical experience of the Lord. The all-inclusive seed of our Lord is sown into the gospel friends, but only God can cause the growth. We need to treasure the growth in the Divine Life.

“And I, brothers, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to fleshy, as to infants in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, for you were not yet able to receive it. But neither yet now are you able, For you are still fleshly. For if there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly and do you not walk according to the manner of man? For when someone says, I am of Paul, and another, I of Apollos, are you not men of flesh? What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Ministers through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave to each one of them. I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused the growth. So then neither is he who plants anything nor he who waters, but God who caused the growth. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s cultivated land, God’s building.” (1Cor. 3:1-9)To plant, to water, and to cause to grow are all related to the matter of life. This indicates that the believers are God’s cultivated land (v. 9) to grow Christ. The ministers of Christ can only plant and water. Only God can cause the growth. The Corinthian believers overesteemed the planter and waterer and neglected the One who causes the growth. Hence, they did not grow in Christ as their life. The Corinthian believers, under the prevailing influence of Greek philosophical wisdom, paid too much attention to knowledge, neglecting life. In this chapter Paul’s intention was to turn their attention from knowledge to life, pointing out that to them he was a feeder and a planter; Apollos, a waterer; and God, the One who causes the growth. In 4:15 he even told them that he was their spiritual father, who begot them in Christ through the gospel. From the view of life, the divine view, they were God’s cultivated land to grow Christ. This was entirely a matter of life, a matter utterly missed by believers who are dominated by their soulish, natural life under the influence of their natural wisdom. (Footnotes 1&2 of, v. 6)

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. (1 Cor. 6:17) Coordination with the saints brings in the experience of the mingled spirit. Thank the Lord for the rich flow of life during the Lord’s Table meeting. We have the Holy Spirit within our spirit, so we can be one with the saints who have the same Spirit indwelling within. It’s very enlightening to see brothers and sisters to prophesy one by one, speaking for the Lord, supplying one another. Thank You Lord for Thy mercy and grace! Hallelujah!

Thank you Lord for the blending with the korean saints. Their love for the Lord has brought them to Malaysia, to have a blending with the local saints here. I'm very touched when they sang the hymn to us in korean language. Although we have different languages, we have the same hymnal. O what a joy when we all speak the same thing also, tough in different languages, the contents are the same. Christ is all inclusive, whatever you need, He is!

The morning revival today is very supplying.

These all continued steadfastly with one accord in prayer... (Acts 1:14)

...They lifted up their voice with one accord to God... (4:24)

And when they had so besought, the place in which they were gathered was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness. (31)

We see the importance of prayer in today's message. The book of Acts shows that the apostles never initiated any work without prayer; whenever they wanted to do something, they stopped themselves by their prayer, giving God a way to come into them, to fill them up, and to saturate their entire being(1:12; 6:4; 13:1-4)

In order to be one with the Lord in His work, we need to pray ourselves into God and pray God into us so that we are mingled with God (Matt. 6:6)

To pray:

means to stop ourselves from doing anything apart from the Lord so that He can do His work through us (cf. 14:22-23).
means that we realize that we are nothing and can do nothing; prayer is the denial of the self (Gal. 6:3; cf. Mark 9:28-29).
by calling on the name of the Lord is to deny ourselves and to declare, "No longer I but Christ" (cf. Gal. 2:20)

Thank you Lord for His continuous life supply!

Experience of The Shattering of Soul-Emotion & Nourishment from The Morning Revival

I experience the dealing by the Lord in my emotion part of my soul. The Lord seems to be saying to me, "You have not loved me with the first and best love, therefore I shatter your natural love, so that you can return back to me as the prodigal son." Lord, I repent for my sin of back sliding in this semester. I ignored the Lord too much this semester, so the Lord took away the love. Lord, I'm sorry that I have not loved you much this semester. Have mercy on me Lord that I may be brought back to the one flow of the divine stream. I don't want to be out of the stream like Barnabas. Lord, I thank you that when I was helpless and not knowing what to do next, You reminded me to come back to Your embrace. Lord, I love you more compared to yesterday.

I recovered a normal morning revival this morning by opening to Him. The messsage today is very supplying. The book of Acts shows that the God-ordained way to carry out God's move to fulfill His New Testament economy is entirely by three main substances- prayer, the Spirit, and the Word. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, the early disciples could not have maintained the one accord if they had different ways, means, agents, or substances for them to carry out the Lord's move on this earth; in order to maintain the unique one accord, we all must learn to do the same thing by the same way. We must not think of taking a way other than prayer, the Spirit, and the Word; any other way will cause dissention and division. I also enjoy Acts 12:24: But the word of God grew and multiplied. Praise the Lord that the word of God not only grows, but it multiplies!! I was richly supplied during the Lord's table, thank the Lord for the members of the Body, supplying one another with riches of Christ! Hallelujah! Thank you Lord!

Experience of Christ-As the available one

The Lord is truly subjective and available to everyone, I can testify this from my experience. It is especially during the examination period that I have more experience of the Lord, may the Lord have mercy on me. It is exactly as it was written in this hymn that the Lord is always available, the key to be saved is just simply call on the name of the Lord, "O Lord Jesus!!!" There is never a graduation from calling His name. Dear saints, we can call on the name of the Lord! How marvelous and sweet is this name that what we gain is not doctrine,philosophy or knowledge, but LIFE! The life gained is not our physical life or psychological life, but spiritual (ζωε) life! Whenever I call on His name, I feel different. I inhaled the resurrecting life of our lord. Although I just called on Him once or twice sometimes, the Lord is very supplying. As it is written that there is no other name in this world that we can be saved but through the Lord Jesus Himself. Praise the Lord for His rich supply and love!!! We may find it hard to turn to our spirit when we are angry, but still there is a choice we can make. We can choose not to live in the flesh or soul, just turn, turn to Him. We may neglect the Lord when we are in a bad mood but we can overcome by turning away and look onto Jesus. We are more than conquer in Him who empowers us! Faith is a crucial matter, dear saints, have faith in the Lord to help us in overcoming every situation that in our concept we cannot overcome. He is in our spirit as the energising life-giving Spirit! May the Lord strengthen all of us.

Light Arising from Consecration to God

John 7:17 If anyone resolves to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself. (18) He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of Him who sent Him, this One is true, and unrighteousness is not in Him.

Some may ask: “Why is it that others can have the light, but I do not have the light?” According to the story of Samson, whenever his hair was shaved, his power was gone, and he lost his eyes (Judg. 16:20-21). We do not have the light and we are blind because we do not have a thorough consecration. The Lord said, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The lamp of the body is the eye. But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be dark. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!” (Matt. 6:21-23). The degree to which our heart is turned to the Lord determines the degree to which our spiritual eyes are opened within. God's children do not have light because they do not have a heart for God. They do not have power because their consecration is too little. When our heart is not turned to God sufficiently, when our consecration is inadequate, and when we do not answer God's demand completely, God cannot get through in us. If our consecration is thorough, it will bring in spiritual riches and heavenly blessings. I believe that when all the brothers and sisters are for the Lord and are thoroughly consecrated, the gospel will be preached everywhere and heavenly blessings will pour down everywhere.

Brothers and sisters, there is no other way to genuine power, light, and heavenly riches except through answering God's demand. The amount of consecration we have to God determines the amount of power we have from God. May we not hinder Him. In order for God to have a way, our heart must be turned toward Him; we must answer His demand and allow Him to flow through us. Otherwise, we will only hinder our God. God desires that we turn our heart to Him and answer His demand. In His work God needs man. If we do not answer His demand, He will have to find someone else to answer Him and carry out His will. May God strengthen our aspiration toward Him, and may His will be carried out through us.

May the Lord make us a person who open thoroughly to Him and answer His demand that His will may be carried out. If we do not answer His demand, He will raise up someone else to carry out His will !!! This is a serious matter...

The Life of Altar and Tent pioneered by Abraham

The Christian life is a life of Abraham's life. The generation of Jesus Christ is the Son of David, the Son of Abraham. Our generation also starts with Abraham, not Adam. Abraham was called by God, walked in faith. So we were also called by God, and are walking in faith.

People might think that Abraham was mighty due to his faith. However, his faith did not originated from himself. Faith is just an ability to believe something in future. Or rather, faith is "I am not, but God is." We need to set ourselves aside, believe that Christ is the one living.
God's calling is His glorious appearing to us. We could believe in Him because God first called us. By His appearance, He will call us out of our comfort zone, our background, living, familiar practice. So we need to forsake everything we have and we are, and take His presence as our roadmap.

An altar is for satisfying God; and tent is for our living / testimony on this earth. An altar means burn offering. What we have today should pass though the altar, and God will return some to us for our need of living today. Everything we have today is not ours, it is His. Then, we live a life of tent- testify that we are sojourner on this earth and we "eagerly waited for the city which has the foundation, whose Architect and Builder is God." (Heb 11:10)

Finally, we need to be uprooted, unsettled by the Lord, to be able to walk with Him wherever He goes. We will be much more useful. It is absolutely normal for a called one to be unsettled.

这是神的福音，不是人的。罗16：25说“神能照着我的福音。。。”我的福音-这是主观的。这里说神的福音“坚固你们”-这话是对罗马圣徒说的。这指出就连召会也需要福音。那，什么样的福音能坚固我们？这福音肯定与神的心头愿望发生关系。保罗在使徒行传里对以弗所的圣徒说:我没有一样违避不和你们说的-就是神的旨意。所以，这整个东西能坚固你们-就是神的福音。试验来了，我们就摇动了，什么能坚固召会？就是神的福音。不仅坚固，还能成就神的旨意。

这个福音是关于耶稣基督的人位，这个启示是“照历世以来密而不宣之奥秘”- 一面是神的奥秘（神的历史，就是基督自己），另一面是基督的奥秘-召会。基督作为三一神的具体化身，在我们里面成了荣耀的盼望，把我们作成神的扩大、彰显，这就是基督的奥秘。这样的福音不是照着人的需要，乃是为着神的目的。

基督是在人性里的三重后裔-女人的后裔，亚伯拉罕的后裔，和大卫的后裔。这三重后裔各自都有三个讲究-individual seed，transfigured seed，corporate seed。说到基督是女人的后裔：

(a) Individual seed- 基督自己就是女人的后裔，来伤蛇的头。哈里路亚！福音开始于撒旦的被咒诅，开始于伤蛇的头！
(b) Transfigured seed- 基督成为赐生命的灵（女人的后裔改变形象，进到我们里面，作儿子名分的灵。）在我们里面天天伤蛇的头-藉着我们的呼求主名！
(c) Corporate seed- 启12说宇宙光明的妇人生出男孩子-这位生出来是打蛇的，不仅打蛇，他是打龙的！是团体的seed，是得胜者。

罗16：20- 平安的神快要将撒旦践踏在你们的脚下。愿我们主耶稣的恩，与你们同在。所以，我们越享受主，就越践踏蛇。

你看，这样的福音岂不是能坚固人？

Resting with the Lord

We need to believe in the Lord and not look at our environment or circumstances. Instead of looking at the storm, let us look at the resting Lord. Which will you follow—the storm or the resting Lord? We may even want to say to the Lord, “Lord, since You are resting, I shall rest with You. Let the wind blow. Because You are resting, I can rest with You.” However, it is easy to say this, but it is difficult to practice it. As one who has been practicing for more than fifty years to look at the Lord and not at circumstances, I must confess that I am still learning this lesson.

Often in our journey with the Lord we shall encounter a storm or a whirlwind. Then we may become distracted and forget the Lord’s word and the fact that He is with us and is at rest. Are you able to say, “Lord, since You are resting, I shall rest also”? Let us all learn to practice this.

Luke’s account in 8:22-25 does not show a dispensational change; neither does it present the authority of the kingdom of God. Here Luke portrays the Christian journey. According to the portrait in Luke, while we are taking the way ordained by the Lord, the Lord will be at rest, and the enemy will be busy. The evil spirits and the demons will be active to cause storms to frustrate us on our journey. We need to remember that actually this is not our journey; it is the Lord’s journey, and we are journeying with Him. We are taking His way, and He is on the way with us. In fact, He is even in the boat with us. We may say that the boat here signifies the church. For the Lord to be with us in the boat means that He is with us in the church. Although the “boat” of the church may be in the midst of a whirlwind and raging waters, we should not be troubled. Instead of being troubled, we should have peace in the resting Lord.

Lord, I love You, I have faith in Your Word. Do not abandon me throughout this journey :)

The Heavenly Vision and Vanquishing Conversion of the Apostle Paul

I treasure the verses in Acts 9:4-6 :
And he fell on the ground and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? And he said, Who are You, Lord? And He said, I am Jesus, whom you persecute. But rise up and enter into the city, and it will be told to you what you must do.

The heavenly vision was shown to Saul, resulting in Saul being blind,where he can neither eat nor drink for three days. However, he had been praying! Praise The Lord!!! It is very precious being able to let the Lord to educate us concerning the Body, just as how Saul experienced. What Saul experienced is really a blessed blindness. Althought he was blind,he had a 'heavenly television' directly from the Lord, to educate him concerning the Body of Christ, the processes the Lord went through, and the Head and the Body. I also treasure the last paragraph of today's reading in day 3. "If we realize that a Christian is nothing more than a member, we will no longer be proud. Everything depends on our seeing. Those who see that they are members will surely treasure the Body and honor the other members. They will not see just their own virtues; they will readily see others as being better than themselves. (The Mystery of Christ, p. 17). The last paragraph exposed me a lot of being snobbish, seeing myself superior than other people. What I expressed is a countrary to what was written. May the Lord expose me more that this self may be reduced to ashes!

手中的事

許多人能領會身體的力量是有限的，但是沒有看見他們外面的人的力量也是有限的，所以就把他們外面的人的力量浪費了。照樣，人思想的力量也是有限的，沒有一個人能無限量的思想。人如果多注意了某件事，在思想上多花了工夫在某件事上，他就沒有力量再想到其他的事。

神需要把你外面的人打碎了，纔能用你這個外面的人。神需要把你的愛打碎了，纔能用你的愛去愛眾弟兄。我們的意志也是堅強的，不只堅強，並且是硬，非常硬。裏面的人需要用意志，卻尋不到意志，因為意志在那裏單獨行動，意志已經有了牠手中的事。

神的靈沒有法子從我們的靈裏出來，因為我們外面的人已經都滿了，已經都有了手中的事。必須求神憐憫我們，給我們外面的人有一個破碎，讓裏面的人有路可以出來。這樣，裏面的人就有意志可用，就有思想可用，就有情感可用。

我們一切的遭遇都是有意義的，一切的遭遇都是有神的安排的；沒有一個基督徒的事是偶然的，是沒有神的安排的。我們必須服在神的安排之下。神對付我們，破碎我們這個人，讓靈能出來，叫我們能使用我們的靈，這是按著神的律，不是按著我們的禱告。一個律不能因禱告而被改變。

一切這樣的禱告都沒有用，更好是把這樣的禱告停止，向神說，『神，我伏在你面前。』許多時候，我們求祝福的禱告都是攔阻。我們要求祂的光照，要學習服在祂的手下，要順服這個律。這個順服就是祝福。

In the Christian life we experience both night and day. According to Genesis 1, night comes before day. When Paul was abased, he was in the night, and when he was abounding, he was in the day. This means that after the night of abasement came the day of abounding. Paul realized, however, that this day would eventually be followed by another night. We cannot change the principle of God's universe. In the universe there is night and day, day and night.

The Christian life does not stay on one level; it has many ups and downs. It is normal to be up and down, down and up. It is not normal to remain on one level and not experience ups or downs. Likewise, it is not normal to experience day and not night. I have nights as well as days, downs as well as ups. However, our account should be balanced: the ups should equal the downs, and the debit should equal the credit. When we have such a balance in our experience, we are normal.

According to the Lord's sovereign arrangement, we need both the ups and downs in order to experience Christ. I thank the Lord for all the valleys through which He has taken me. But
with the valleys, there have also been hills. The Christian life is not one vast plain; it is a land with many hills and valleys. It is by the hills and valleys that we experience Christ. Young people, do not dream that your life will be level and plain. On the contrary, you will face many valleys and many hills. You will encounter all kinds of circumstances. But in these circumstances you may apply Christ as your secret and experience Him. It is crucial that we learn to apply Christ.

今天主拣选了我们，作祂的器皿,目的是要将三一神那追测不尽的丰富作到我们里面,然后我们担负主。然后主就能用我们。我们自己有什么呢？只有旧造、肉体、黑暗。感谢主，祂先来拯救我们!使我们生活在祂生命的管制下,然后祂要我们来认识祂。主自己如何，祂也要把我们作成和祂一样。

The Christian life is an active life. If you convince yourself to be passive, you will fall into the snare of the enemy. Nothing will kill you like passivity. The Christian life is likened to a race so you cannot win this race passively. Either you are in the race to run or you are not in the race at all. No one will cause you to run. You have to "turn on the engine, step on the gas, and switch on the gear." Exercise.

"I don't care" - is a terrible way of thinking. It's really dishonouring to the Lord, does not do justice to what the Lord has given us and comes short of His grace.

TRUST - this refers to "faith". You believe. Faith is beyond reason. If you can reason it out, that's not faith. Trust means you don't see it but you still believe. I want to give you a few things related to God that we must believe. This will sustain us every day and through certain crisis times. What do we trust in? Generally, we trust in God. I mean, a very subjective trust in God. What else do you trust in - yourself? Now, you're sitting there breathing. Do you trust you're being able to maintain yourself to some degree of sanity? Is it because of you that you are still alive? It is GOD! You just have to trust in God. There's no reason to this. He is the Creator. People would say, "God is bad. Why would God let you suffer?" You can reason or explain it but in the end, I just trust in God.

8 TRUSTS:
1) The first thing that you must learn to trust is God's SOVEREIGNTY. God is transcendent, Almighty, omniscient, all-knowing. This God because of who He is, is all-sovereign - i.e. He is the One with sovereign authority in this universe. You just don't question that. Anyone who does is crazy/audacious. Who are you to question God? Yet, the fallen man that is one with Satan, was the first one to question God by posing a question to Eve. Learn not to question. You will come to a point where you cannot figure anything out. You have to learn to just acknowledge God's full sovereign authority. Our job is to honour; our job is to trust; our job is just to believe in God. This sovereignty has to do with His authority. You don't go around and question God's authority. That's a very serious thing. Certain things happen in this world that you don't understand; you just trust. Don't ask, "Why?" Romans 9:21 says, "Or does not the potter have authority over the clay to make out of the same lump one vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor?" Dare the clay question? The Potter has absolute authority over everything including you and I. Honour/submit to the Lord's sovereignty. This protects us. This saves us. A practical way of trusting in God's sovereignty, is to trust in God's timing. Many times this is what causes us to "flip-out". Sometimes it is easier to trust in God's ability than to trust in God's sovereignty.

2) We can only trust in His MERCY. Day by day, what can we trust? Lean on His mercy. Mercy has to do with compassion. In Luke, you see the compassionate Man-Saviour. That is a man living, shining God out. Anyone of us deserve God's love? No! We are sitting here today because we have been made vessels of mercy. So Paul says, "Present your body a living sacrifice." I exhort you all to be daily recipients of His mercy. Mercy kept you. Mercy saved you. Mercy is why you are still here. If you are really like this, that in itself will touch a lot of your pride.. Anyone who touches this, will not be proud. His mercies are new every morning so we need to feed on it. One day, you will have no more boast. You will just bow your head and say, "Lord, it's altogether your mercy." If you are like this, you will be a more thankful person. You know why you complain? Because you doubt.

3) You have to trust in God's FAITHFULNESS. God is faithful to Himself but in particular, to His own Word and promise. In other words, trust in God's Word. Heaven and earth will pass away. Anything you lean on will fade away but only His Word will never pass away.. We can be faithless but He remains faithful. He cannot be unfaithful to Himself to justify our own unfaithfulness. Time will come when you cannot believe anybody, but you can believe His Word. Feed on God's faithfulness. God is faithful to His selection.

4) Trust in the Lord's GOODNESS - i.e. trust in God's intent. His intention is always good. There is no one good but God. God is good - that is, His heart is good. There is no evil there.. Everything with God is good. Whatever happens you should be able to say, "God is good to me!" There are people who have gotten offended and mad at God because such and such happened. Outwardly, it could be unfortunate but I'm talking about our attitude toward God. God did not create a messed-up universe. We know that there is another one (Satan) in this universe - put any evil intention on the devil.

5) You have to trust in God's RIGHTEOUSNESS. God is in the realm of justice. Righteousness is the foundation of His throne. Everything God does is righteous. This means, there will be issues and wages of sin. His righteousness relates to judgment. God is so righteous that He had to have His own Son crucified. God is not mocked.. You don't get away with things.

6) You also have to trust in God's DISCIPLINE. In Hebrews, it says God chastises because of love. If we were illegitimate sons, God wouldn't care but because we are real sons, He disciplines. Watchman Nee was in prison for 20 years. That was not pleasant. You know what is a real martyr? It is one who has all these kinds of trusts in God ~ all reasonings are out the window.

7) Trust in God's CARE. He has numbered our hair. He knows what we need. Don't be anxious. God cares. God supplies. God will sustain. It seems that in the good days you don't need to trust that much but in the difficult/shaky times, I hope these things keep us so that no word of doubt, no murmuring, no reasoning comes out of our mouth. WE HAVE ONLY ONE REASON FOR EVERYTHING - GOD! How you are, how you go on, has a lot to do with how you treat these things and how you think.

8) Finally, trust in God's POWER. Today, of course, this power is in us as the God of resurrection. With man all things are impossible, but with God, all things are possible.

Learn not to ask so much.

Renewed vision

Praise the Lord for His rich dispensing this morning during the Lord's table meeting. Initially, we need to know what is the Lord's recovery:
1) Recover Christ as our all in all
2) Recover the oneness of the Body of Christ
3) Recover the function of all the members

Thank the Lord that everyone of us can prophesy one by one since there is at least one talent in every saints. The brother also encouraged us to open our mouth to function, if we cannot prophesy, at least open our mouth to say Amen when our brothers or sisters are speaking for our Lord. We have no need of a pastor in a church because we are priests of our lord to speak forth Him."But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people acquired for a possession, so that you may tell out the virtues of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." 1 Pet. 2:9 I also treasure that we can bless God by speaking good of Him. Our Lord had blessed us with all the blessings so that we can speak for Him.

Our brother also fellowship with us concerning service. There are two kinds of services. The first one is the specific service in the church and the other the service in vital groups. Praise the Lord that we can serve the Lord! How joyful to have heard that saints praising the Lord while doing Leviticus services! What a wondrous melody! I'm also enlightened that consecration to the Lord brings in the one accord. We are belong to our Lord from the beginning but often we are not living accordingto His hearts desire, so dear saints, we need to renew our consecration to the Lord everyday, receiving fresh dew from Him every morning. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

The Principle of the Nazarite

"And she (the mother of Samuel) vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head" (1 Sam. 1:11)

"Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord"
(1 Sam. 1:28)

A priest is one who opens himself to the Lord so that the Lord is his content, and he is the Lord's expression- this is a priest. God's intention was to make the whole nation of Israel a kingdom of priests; however, due to Israel's failure, the Lord chose the tribe of Levi to replace the nation of priests in Israel. But of all the tribe of Levi only those of the house of Aaron were to be the priests. Do you believe that the house of Aaron would never fall? The house of Aaron eventually fallen at the time of Eli's sons.

However, the Lord foresaw this situation. Besides His ordination of the house of Aaron as priests, He provided a supplement in the sixth chapter of Numbers- a "side door" as an emergnecy provision when the "front door" is damaged. Therefore, we have the vows of the Nazarite. The principle of Nazarite vow is for anyone- men and women. No one is excluded.

What is the principle of the Nazarite? It is voluntary consecration, not a matter of being appointed, ordained, or even chosen by the Lord. There are fourfold consecration of the Nazarite:

1. Separated from worldly enjoyment.
A Nazarite should not drink or eat anything of the grape, from its fruit to its husks.

2. Separated from self-glory.
Those in the priesthood must be a peculiar people. "If I were to say that you are peculiar, you might not be happy...being peculiar in this sense is proper for a Christian." Long hair is a glory to a woman, but a shame to a man. A Nazarite is one who is willing to bear the shame for the Lord. As long as we have something of self-glory, we can never be in the priesthood. To be a genuine priest will cause others to despise you. There is a real price to pay for the priesthood.

3. Separated from natural affections.
The third item of the Nazarite's consecration is that he must not be defiled by anything dead, especially by the death of his nearest relatives. We must be separated from our natural affections, which so easily deaden.

4. Separated from spiritual deadness.
We may have overcome our natural affections, but supose one day in the church life a brother standing by us "dies" very suddenly, we must be careful not to be affected by him. Do not let him pass on his deadness to you. We must run away. Do you enjoy looking into a trash can? no matter how fine a home is, it always has a trash can. When you visit a local church, you do not go to the trash can- the gossip, the critism, and the murmuring. The more you contact these you are deadened.

As far as spiritual personnel is concerned, the Lord is very poor today. We must lend ourselves to the Lord, only the vow of the Nazarite can meet today's emergency. Who will be the volunteers?

Stable

Stability is another character trait that must be found in the life of every Christian worker. Stability in character can be understood as stability in one's emotions. Some people are solid and unshakable before the Lord, but others are loose and shaky.

In the Bible we find a man who was easily shaken, who is known to us as Simon Peter. Matthew 16:13-16 says, "Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Who do men say that the Son of Man is? And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." "And Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in the heavens."

Our present attention is drawn to verse 18, which says, "And I also say to you that you are Peter [Petros], and upon this rock [petra] I will build My church." We must see that the church is something unshakable. The foundation of the church is unshakable, and the church itself is unshakable. This being the case, all the servants of the Lord should be unshakable as well.

We are not here to talk about the church. We are here to talk about the very person of the ministers. The ministers must not be shaken, because they are the stones. The Lord said to Peter, "You are Peter." This means, "You are a stone." "And upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." Peter represents all the ministers of the church. The Lord put such a person before us to show us how unstable a person's nature can be before he is dealt with by the Lord.

When the light of the Lord burns our tongue, our talkativeness will disappear. When a lazy man is rebuked, his laziness wilts away. The Lord cursed the fig tree, and the tree dried up. The Lord's rebuke brings in His curse, and where His curse is, there is wilting and death. Here we are talking about a reconstitution or a remake of our character. It is God's grace that Peter was chosen. Had it not been for Peter, all those who are weak and unstable would have no hope. But the Lord chose one man and called him Peter, and after He made him a "Peter," He gave him the keys to bring men into the church.

Morning Revival-Praise The Lord!

The universe has two sources with two consumation. The first source is the tree of life, consumating in the New Jerusalem while the other is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,consumating in the lake of fire-eternal perdition. The tree of life signifies the Triune God as life to man in man's relationship with him; the tree of the knowledge of good and evil signifies Satan, the devil, the evil one, as death to man in man's fall before God. The tree of life is the source of men who seek God as life for their supply and enjoyment; the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is the sourse of men who follow Satan as their poison unto death and eternal perdition. The first way is the way of life, the constricted way, for men to seek God, to gain God, and to enjoy Him in His eternal life as the supply; the second way is the way of death and of good and evil, the broad way, for men to follow Satan to be his children. The first principle is the principle of life-the principle of dependence on God; the secong principle is the principle of death and of good and evil-the principle of independence from God.

The two consummation are the final outcome of the two trees, the two sources, the two ways, and the two principles:
1. The consummation of God's way of life is a city of water of life, the New Jerusalem
2. The consummation of the way of death and of good and evil is a lake of fire

The Lord reminded me that how death and soulish I was in the past week, this refresh my vision concerning His heart's desire, gaining more people for the propagation and building up of the Body of Christ. Praise the Lord for His continuous supply through the morning revival that I may be spiritually dried up throughout the days! This also renew my consecration to the Lord in bearing remaining fruit, for His enjoyment and satisfaction. I appreciate my friends so that's why I've a burden to preach the gospel to everyone of them, may the Lord grant me strength and leading in this matter. Thank the Lord that His grace is sufficient for us.

Throughout the whole Bible, I guess this is the only portion that talks about Jesus’ childhood, when He was 12 years old. This is shown in the gospel of Luke chapter 2.

In Luke 2:49-52, here it reveals that Christ possesses both divinity and humanity. Luke 2:49 And He said to them, why is it that you were seeking Me? Did you not know that I must be in the things of My Father? This father, of course, is not referring to His “biological father”. Instead, this indicates that in His deity He was the Son of God the Father.

Later in Luke 2:51 And He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subjected to them. And His mother carefully kept all these things in her heart. In His humanity He was the son of His parents. Even though His parents were so worried finding Him, He still subjected to them and followed them back.

Then comes to Luke 2:52 And Jesus advanced in wisdom and stature and in the grace manifested in Him before God and men. As a man, even Jesus needed the grace of God for His human life. He was filled with the wisdom of His deity and needed the grace of God in His humanity!

A sister shared that we should have a balance in our divinity and humanity. We can’t everyday just go for the meeting, study the bible or pray, and totally forgetting about our humanity part. Imagine a married sister becomes so divine that she forgets all about her responsibility as a wife or even a mother. Or in another way round, that we become so humanity that we forget about our divinity part. All of these will make us not the right and functional vessel that fulfilling God’s will.

Whenever life gets busier and busier, my way of living will tend to “shift” to the humanity part and causing an imbalance. Thanks Lord for giving such a view that we should follow Him as a pattern, to be balance and complete in our divinity and humanity.

PTL! Through this balance way of living that we may become His living testimony. Testimony is not a doctrine; it’s just simply our way of living.

Praise the Lord for our newly baptised sister Xiao Li. I was so joyful as I can see that the Lord really blesses the gospel work in IMU. In this semester we already have two remaining fruits. This is very encouraging!

I was quite worried during the meeting as there is only one gospel friend came (and She is our dear Sister Xiao Li ^^). However praise the Lord, later on, we have more to come. And when I heard that Xiao Li wants to be baptised, I was full of joy and glory. Anyhow, I was asked to baptise Xiao Li. It is my first time and I was too nervous at that time and I said wrongly while giving baptism.

However, I still praise our Lord as the faithful one. He has heard our prayer. And we are in the FLOW! So, IMU bro and Sis, rise up! and GO! We are not working on our own. We are working with our Lord, and in our Lord! I am strengthened again in the meeting. I believe this is the work of God. May we all enter into the FLOW, answer the calling of the Lord, and GO and DISCPLE all nation! May the Lord continue to bless the gosple work in IMU!

Ya, praise the Lord for the gospel meeting in IMU. At first I was worried that no one would turn up for the gospel meeting. I kept looking behind and seeing all the familiar faces.. haha, what i meant was that everyone behind me were all saints. It was already 7.30pm by then. I kept on praying to the Lord to give us more people.. Praise the Lord! More people came as time passes by.. and furthermore as bro De Rong said, the Lord gained Sis Xiao Li! Hallelujah! The Testimony of a Rickshaw Puller

This is the testimony that Bro. Andrew Yu referred to in the recent International Chinese-speaking Conference in Taipei.

I met a rickshaw puller brother who loves the Lord in purity and simplicity of heart in the northern part of China … (how a rickshaw puller brother loves the Lord and testifies for the Lord)

A brother ("I" below) came to Shanghai from Taipei. On December 17, 2008, he told us his experience of meeting a brother and how this brother loves the Lord and testifies for the Lord.

"I was saved when I was in Junior High school. After my initial salvation, I began to meet day by day, loving the Lord fervently. But in 2006 (in my thirties), I encountered a difficulty that I could not bear, which caused me to stop meeting. At that time, I was very discouraged and wanted to do only one thing, which I now consider meaningless. I wanted to travel to the easternmost, westernmost, southernmost, and northernmost parts of China, leaving the footprints of my life wherever I would go.

Therefore I went to Mor Herr of Hei Long Jiang Province, China. I took the train, transferred to a bus, then another bus, and another bus … Finally, I came to the northernmost border of China. I was wearing layer after layer of clothes at that time, but after I got off the bus it was so cold that I felt like having nothing on. I got on a rickshaw and the rickshaw puller started to chat with me. He said, "I would like to talk to you about the stories of the Lord Jesus." I was very astonished when I heard what he said and said to myself, "would You (the Lord) still not let me go even after I have come to such a distant place?"

There was a plastic certain separating me from the rickshaw puller, so it was difficult to hear one another to converse. Therefore I did not feel like responding to him. So I told him that I did not want to hear and asked him not to speak. After a short while, he said, "but I still want to talk to you about the Lord Jesus. If you allow me to speak, I will not charge you fare for the rickshaw ride." I said, "I will pay you the fare. Please do not speak." But after another while, he yet again started to speak, "Sir, I can see that you are an educated person. Where are you from?" I said, "where I am from, even if I were to tell you, you still would not know." He said, "do you know the Lord Jesus?" I said, "No, I don't." He continued to speak to me concerning the stories of the Lord Jesus. Of course I was very familiar with most of what he spoke to me concerning the Lord, though I could not remember the details now.

After I got off the rickshaw, indeed he did not charge me any fare (1 Yuan, ~$0.146). I noticed that his clothes were shabby and the heels of his shoes were worn off as well. I thought within myself, "is this a coincidence or destiny? How could I meet such a person in such a place who would speak the Lord to me? Though I am weak, after denying the Lord's name before man – I said that I did not know the Lord – I have no peace within. I then said to myself, "if I would meet this rickshaw puller again, I will confess that I actually know the Lord Jesus."

It so happened that I indeed met him again. I greeted him and he said to me, "Oh, it is you." I confessed to him that I actually knew the Lord. He said, "You are the kind of person that the Lord wants to gain." Then he continued to say, "Have you heard of the Lord's recovery?" (When I heard this, I was shocked even more than the fist time when he spoke to me concerning the Lord.) I said, "Yes, I know the Lord's recovery." He said, "Then you must have heard of brother Witness Lee as well."

He asked me where I would like to go for a ride today. I said, "I am not familiar with the surroundings; you can take me anywhere nearby." As we were conversing with one another, we came to a traffic light. Seeing that we got a red light, he stopped the rickshaw and waited for the green light. There was not much traffic at all and most people in that place gave no regard to the traffic lights. I was amazed by him and asked him whether he would be fined if he did not stop at the red light. He said, "No. Most people look at me as a dirty rickshaw puller from without. But within me I have the life of glory. I want to testify for my Lord, testify that I have the life of glory, on this matter of traffic lights."

In our conversation, I got to know that for the needs of the church, he gave 600 Yuan to the church, which was his 3-year saving for his wedding. At that time, the church needed the finance to acquire a meeting place, his mother also died during the same period of time, the saints knew his situation and did not expect him to give for this need. But this brother prayed to the Lord, inquiring whether he should give for this need or not. The Lord said to him, "I own the sheep and the cattle on the thousands of mountains. Though I have no lack, I need this 600 Yuan from you!" With tears, our brother gave this sum of money to the church.

Afterwards, I went to his dwelling place – a space three steps by three steps in size with one brick-bed and some simple furniture. His dinner was the leftover from the cafeteria of a nearby plant. Because he is not literate, he cannot read the bible (by himself). He also could only memorize and sing a few hymns. I asked him how he enjoys the Lord every day. He told me that his enjoyment is simply to call on the name of the Lord. Every night, he would just call on the Lord's name for one hour, two hours – so enjoyable! Often times, he would fall asleep while calling on His name.

I thought within myself, "How can I compare the difficulty that I encountered with this brother's situation? He has nothing but he is satisfied with just the name of the Lord. What I have far exceeds what he has. How can I still complain to the Lord? He is in such deep poverty; yet in order to preach the Lord to others, he would rather give up the fare for the rickshaw ride…"

Pray for Bro Ng Meng Tek （黃明德）

We have gone and visited Bro Ng this evening. He is now at a very critical state. He is now on repiratory support divice for his breathing, and also on dialysis. He was having oedema last few days, but the condition is better now. Doctor also suspected that he has bacteria infection. His blood pressure is also quite low.

I can notice that sis Long is exhausted and worried. She wants us to pray more for Bro Ng.

Bro and sis, we need to pray for our bro and also our sis and his sons. May the Lord be their shepherd, their strength, their Grace. Pray that this incident can be an oppoturnity for them to experince the Lord. I believe the Lord knows their condition and their need. I believe the Lord will not leave them. Amen.

IMU Gospel Meeting

We will have a gospel meeting on 25/2/09 at night 730pm, at sis house 2. A light refreshment will be provided after the meeting. We'd just fellowship about the date and time tonight during prayer meeting, but haven't fellowship about the message title and other matters.

Saints, may we continue to pray for this matter. Often this burden is not too heavy in us, may the Lord fill us with the Spirit, that we can submit ourselves to Him to be His continuation. This gospel meeting is very important for His testimony in IMU. We will make a namelist of all the gospel friends, for us to bring to the prayer.

Praise the Lord for His rich flowing out of the divine dispensing!! I really treasure these messages concerning The Testimony of Jesus. Dear saints,we can be today's living testimony of our Lord in our daily living thorough our experience and enjoyment of Him. The Lord is rich beyond measure and blessed are those who come and open wide to Him,for they shall be fed spiritually by eating the Triune God. The believers who are filled with the Lord will just flow out His richness spontaneously while they contact people. This is what I've experienced. The was a home visitation of a couple who are back to the denominations a few days ago and the three of us all shared what we enjoyed and the burden in our hearts. The brother returned home from work after we had stepped into their house,he was exhausted with a working toil of six days a week but rejoiced at the sight of us. Then,we started to share with him. While the brother and sister were still sharing, I was thinking of what should I speak to him. But,praise the Lord!! The Spirit Himself will guide us in our sharing and preaching. The self is just too natural,worthy only to be crucified on the cross. "Brother,all the strength that we seek should not be the strengthening of our body or soul,to be strong and tough in this predator & victim society. But,we pray to the Lord to be strengthened into the inner-man,which consists of our regenerated spirit with the Life-giving Spirit. That our spirit may receive more of the gold,divine element of God." "We should all begin our day by loving our Lord." O Lord Jesus,I consecrate today to You Lord,not to work for You,but to enjoy more of Your ζωε life!! The words that I said was not prepared before hand,but praise the Lord for His mercy & grace that I may be His channel to dispense life to others. Please pray for the continuing care for the new ones contacted on the college campuses in the UK (London, Reading, Cambridge, and Norwich), Spain (Madrid), France (Paris), Germany (Düsseldorf), Netherlands (Delft), Slovakia (Bratislava), Romania (Bucharest), and Greece (Athens).

2) The Lord’s move in Europe:

a) Athens, Greece

After a period of unrest, the students in Athens return to the universities on Thursday, January 8. They will immediately hold an assembly to determine whether or not they will keep the schools open. If the schools are closed, there will be no students to receive the gospel. This is especially critical because the students may be more open now than previously. In addition, several FTTA trainees will arrive in Athens later in January. Their primary activity will be to contact students. Please pray that the students will realize the need of their education and vote to remain in class.

b) Dusseldorf, Germany

Please pray for the learning of the language and the raising up of a lampstand in Dusseldorf.

c)

Spain

Please pray for the visa situation, that the Lord would be sovereign in our attempt to put this entity in place that will be able to invite full time workers to Spain.

d) Paris

Please pray for a blended team to gain many students on campus.

e) Budapest, Hungary

There is still no local lampstand in Hungary. A good number of books have been translated, published, and distributed in

Hungary

over the past ten years. There are now 1320 persons in Hungary who have ordered all three sets of the Rhema books. One Hungarian brother has stood there for the Lord’s recovery since 1985. This brother has labored faithfully for many years to translate the ministry into Hungarian. In recent months he has suffered from complications in his health. Please pray for him and for the establishing of the Lord’s testimony in Hungary.

Praise the Lord for this opportunity of churching. Through this outing my eyes are opened to see that Lord's move is fast in every localities. Often in our prayer we remember many gospel moves in many localities. But praise the Lord during this outing, we could participate in the Lord's move alongside with our dear Lord Jesus!

I enjoyed the serving in love by the saints in Kuantan. These saints are just so loving and care for our need during the stay. They are blended together and coordinated so well and we should learn from them in serving the Lord and the saints.

In K.Terrenganu, we went door-kocking and propagating ministry books. After that we had lovefeast at a bro's place. The lovefeast was great. And I enjoyed the fellowship that night. There was a gospel friend with us. All the saints are so caring for him. They spent quite sometime in encouraging him to join our truth talk in K.Bharu and to be baptised. They shared the same burden towards this gospel friend. By all the saints shepherding I believe the Lord will gain him very soon. We need to pray for these 3 families in K.Terrenganu, that the Lord will raise up His golden lampstand soon in K.Terengganu. Praise the Lord!

I also want to share my experience during door-knocking in K.Bharu. When we went door-knocking in a taman, we met some old folks who rejected us. But praise the Lord we contacted a youth. She was open to us. We shared "The Mystery of Human Life" to her, and asked her to read a portion in the booklet for us. Her expression changed after reading it. She even called on the name of the Lord with us! Immediately we see that her face was full with joy. Really hope that the Lord will gain her soon by further visit.

Churching is really wonderful. Every saints we meet are so dear. We enjoy the Christ in them-both divine and human. May the Lord continue to enlarge my capacity, to care for His needs. I do not want to be limited in my locality. Open my eyes Lord!

"Discovery"

Happen to read this short paragraph titled “Discovery”.

"…. Apparently God created us with a “normal” setting that causes us to enjoy the process of discovery, because finding something is often more exciting than having it. That is, after all, why we wrap presents.

Many passages in Scripture allude to this concept. In Proverbs we read of wisdom: “Those who seek me diligently will find me” (8:17). And the prophet Jeremiah wrote of the Lord: “You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (29:13).

God could have revealed all truth to all people at the very beginning of time, but He chose to reveal Himself gradually (1 Cor. 2: 7-8). Perhaps that’s because we value things more when we have to search and wait for them.

God is not playing a cruel game of hide – and – seek. He is allowing us to enjoy the process of discovering who He is and what He is up to in the universe.

So don’t be discouraged over what you don’t know about God. Be excited about unwrapping all there is yet to discover. "

If ever God reveal the truth at one time, will we be able to accept all? Will we appreciate the preciousness and richness of Him?

Praise the Lord that today we have the recovery version of Bible, Life Studies, morning revival etc. He allows us to discover bit by bit everyday, so that we might be able "unwrap the presents" to experience and enjoy more of Him!

Life's Prayer in John 17- The Believers being built into One through Regeneration, Sanctification and Glorification

I enjoy John chapter 17. In this chapter the Lord was about to go through death (leave the disciples to the Father) and resurrection (for coming back into the disciples). The Lord pray to the Father that the Father may be glorified through the Lord's death and resurrection. This prayer is a conclusion of chapter 14, 15 and 16 where the Lord reveals His death and resurrection, the universal God-man abode, and the one universal true vine. These are for the glorification of the Father (for example, the vine is expressed by the branches).

The main subject in chapter 17 is glorification. There is a heart desire in God. He wants to be expressed through His son. The Lord Jesus is the tabernacle (tabernacle among us) on the earth. God dwell in Him. He is the mingling of divinity and humanity. Concealed within His flesh is the divine life. Only by going through death and resurrection, the shell of His humanity might be broken and His divine life might be released. Also, He would resurrect that He might uplift His humanity into the divine element that this element can be expressed.

The expression of Triune God is just oneness. This is the reason why the Lord pray to the Father so that we may be one "even as We are". There are three aspects regarding the believers being built up into one.

(1) In the Father's name by the eternal life.

The name 'Father" reveals the relationship of life. This name reveals He is the source of life. Praise the Lord we are His many sons having this divine life! Those who born of the Father's life can participate in His name. This will keep the believers in the oneness. The first aspect is related to our regeneration.

(2) In the Triune God through sanctification by the holy word.

"I have given them Your word" (v.14) "Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth." (v.17) "That they all may be one..." (v.21) Praise the Lord He has given us two kinds of words: the constant word (logos) and the instant word (rhema) though which He can impart the divine life into us.

"I have given them Your word, and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world even as I am not of the world." (v.14) To be sanctified is to be separated from the world. The world has hated us. The world really does not welcome us. Do we still love it? O lord, we are no more of the world. We need to be sanctified not only positionally(separated from the world), but also dispositionally (our inner being). To be sanctified positionally is like a gold in the market place being transferred to the temple and it is immediately become holy. But the kind of sanctification does not change the inner nature. We still need sanctification dispositionally. To be regenerated is one thing, but to be sanctified from the world is another thing. If we are still in the world, we are not in this oneness.

(3) In the divine glory for the expression of the Triune God.

Once we have been generated, and sanctified by the holy word, we will live a life separated from the world, our self will be denied, and we will enjoy the Lord corporately. Then we can experience the third aspect of the believer's oneness- the oneness in the divine glory for the corporate expression of God. "And the glory which You have given Me I have given to them...' (v.22) How wonderful! We can partake of His glory.

In conclusion, the Son gave us three things: the eternal life, the holy word of God, and the divine glory. This will bring and keep us in the Oneness which is Triune God Himself. Praise the Lord!

Work of Lord is an activity in Life

I just read on this message in the books of morning revival (Doing a Work of Three Sections—Incarnation, Inclusion, and Intensification) used by churches in Miri at this moment.

Here it says: “We need to experience and enjoy Christ (to gain Christ—Phil. 3:8) in His full ministry in His three divine and mystical stages so that we may work together with Him (2 Cor. 6:1a) to do a work of three sections—incarnation to produce redeemed people, inclusion to produce and establish the churches, and intensification to produce the overcomers.”

I realized that “to work the work of the Lord is NOT a movement in work but an activity in LIFE.” The message here says that the people who went out to preach gospel is not under any organization, because what they did was not a work, but an activity in life. They were this kind of people, who were constituted by LIFE. They did not know other things; what they knew was following the LIFE and did their activity.

And also there’s a verse which I enjoy very much. It’s John 15:4 -5: “Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.” He is not a tree, instead Lord is the true vine tree, and he is just the branch. If the branch is not growing on the tree, there will be no fruits. Praise the Lord! Today He is the life in us; we express Him and we “live” Him, and have the organic union to produce the fruit of life!

For the tree to grow up to bear fruit, it should grow and mature, for young trees cannot bear fruit. But for the mature tree to bear fruit, it should have new branch! So for those who go out to preach gospel, they should be filled with new life, and this new life, which enters one individual, will bear a new fruit again. Going out for expansion is not a movement in work, but to live a new life and bear the fruit of life!

Just came back from the campus team reunion in Hamilton. the speaking so was rich; and it's on the Blending in the vital groups - the reality of the Body of Christ. There were 5 messages. i particularly enjoy this portion on relatedness. Anyhow, when i got time, i will try to share the other portions too~~

What is relatedness??

Relatedness is not a matter of friendship, where one is related in the mind, emotion, and will. we can be related ONLY in the Spirit. we might have a problem, but whenever we come back to the spirit, exercise the spirit by praying, we are immediately in the oneness. Relatedness is nothing less than Christ Himself. The relatedness among the saints is the SPREADING CHRIST, the very Christ who takes over their ENTIRE BEING (spirit, soul and body). Due to our taking Christ as our life and life supply day by day and moment by moment, when we live by Christ, there will be a LONGING in us to always be related with others and a real DESIRE to be one with all the saints; the Christ in one brother longs to be JOINED with the Christ in another brother, but the layers of the soul and flesh become a wall to separate their portion of Christ. Only the GROWTH, SPREADING, and INCREASE of Christ within them can overcome this separation. There is no relatedness in ourselves. In ourselves there is only SEPARATION and INDIVIDUALISM. The real relatedness, oneness and building up is Christ Himself. When Christ OVERCOMES, CONQUERS, DEFEATS, and TAKES FULL POSSESSION of us, spread through a few layers, He can join Himself to the Christ in others.

When we are mingled with God, have the oneness, relatedness with one another; we will sense that we are simply members of the Body and will treasure the relatedness between us and the other saints. We will realised that we are related in our function; only when we all do our part in functioning as members of the Body (e.g. hands taking stuff; legs walk; unlike a paralyzed person). We should progress beyond a shallow relatedness and enter into the practical church life.

NOW, we need to ask ourselves whether or not we have been built up with others. TO WHOM ARE YOU RELATED? Are u able to name even one, whom u r related to? We need to realised that our being related to others is according to the Lord's sovereignty. "God has placed the members" (1Cor.12:18), "God has blended the body" (1Cor.12:24). We must learn to be related to persons who are not of our choosing according to our taste. If we have the choice to be related according to our taste, we eventually will be related to NO ONE but OURSELVES. If we continually "divorce" the other members, we will not learn anything regarding coordination, and there will be no building up. Don't think u can simply skip this particular member and still learn coordination and building up with other saints; if u haven't pass thru step 1, do u think u will find urself in step 2 or 3? May we be saved from reasoning, excuses...

Being related to Christians in a general way is not good enough, we need to be related to other Christians in a SPECIFIC way, a DEFINITE way. The signs of you actually being related to a certain one in a definite way is whenever you encounter a problem or a need, you may open yourself to them. When you are considering to do something or go somewhere, you may bring this matter to them for fellowship (by the way, fellowship means I NEED HELP). This is actually a safeguard, protection, strengthening, and real support; we got balanced, adjusted, and corrected; and easy to overcome things. Wonder why one is weak?? that's because this one is isolated!!! The only way to be a victorious Christian is to be a related Christian. The more we are related to others, the more strength we have, the more victory we have, and the more protection we have.

The issue is not whether we are a living, healthy, or functioning, individual Christian; but are we vitally and practically related to the Body of Christ? May we all bring this matter to the Lord..

Praise the Lord for the Bible and it is so convenient for us to enter now. All the items listed in the previous posts are so rich and crucial but I feel that I did not enter into these truth faithfully. May the Lord gain us to redeem our time.

Currently those who are joining the RSG at bro house (on every Wed) are mainly gospel friends and christians who are seeking. May the Lord gain us in the coming year. We all need to have burden to pursue the recovery ver. bible chapter by chapter, item by item. It is not merely for gospel, but for everyone who is in the Lord's recovery. We need to pray to seek from the Lord in this matter and let Him to lead us on RSG. Praise You Lord!

"I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it."

I enjoyed a portion of words from the book titled "The Testimony and Ground of the Church". In chapter 3 it mentions about the production, existence, relationship and issue of the testimony of the church.

The Lord wants to recover the church as His expression and testimony, signified by the tabernacle and temple in the old testament. How can the church produce this testimony? In the region of Caesarea Philippi, the Lord asked His disciples, “Who do men say that the Son of Man is?” (Matt. 16:13). Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (v. 16).The production of the testimony of the church is by knowing Christ in two aspects: as the Christ of God- the aspect of His work; and as the Son of living God- the aspect of His person.

The message then continues to mention about the existence of the testimony of the church. It is by living in Christ- being joined to Christ. “Upon this rock I will build My church.” The church being built upon this rock means that the church exists upon this rock. The church collapses as soon as it leaves this rock. Nevertheless, we need to receive the cross- terminate ourselves. Whether or not the testimony of a local church is strong depends on two points. First, are the brothers and sisters joined to Christ? Second, are the brothers and sisters willing to let the cross do a work of terminating the desires of the flesh, their old creation, and their self?

In v.18 the Lord say 'I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it."In relation to Christ, the testimony of the church is related to Christ as the foundation of the rock; and the church being the aggregates of stones built together. In relation to the gates of Hades, the gates of Hades bring the church into death and hold it there. Does this sound terrible?

The gates of Hades are for shutting and holding people in Hades. This can be compared to the gate of a prison. I was enlightened that the gates of Hades being plural, indicating Hades affects the church in many aspects. When a person rises up for the testimony of the church, dealings immediately come to him from every direction. The persons around us, our study, and our job in future, our family etc all can be the gates. They dim the testimony of the Lord. But praise the Lord! "...and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." We may be defeated, but the gates of Hades cannot prevail against the church. We may be in desolation, but the church is still here. Because the church is built in resurrection. It is built upon a living rock, which is Christ. Halleluya! The church can even release sinners held by the gates of Hades.

In v.19 the Lord say "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of the heavens." The issue of the testimony of the church is (1) bringing in the reign of kingdom of heavens, (2) express (glorify) God.

I do have a prayer request. This past Sunday (11/02) during the Lord's Table Meeting, the police in Xiasha (suburb of Hangzhou) cracked down all the meeting points simultaneously; Xiasha is the district that ... and I served in before we moved to Shanghai. All the responsible brothers in these nine meeting places (saints' houses) were hand-cuffed and taken away to prison. The wives of these leading saints and the younger working brothers and sisters were taken to the police station for interrogation and were released at about midnight. All the 14 universities' school officials were called in to take their own students back to their respective university for further disciplinary actions. The police confiscated all the RC-version bibles, hymns, ministry books, telephone books, phone lists and computers from all the houses. Those belonging to the students were also taken away. It has now been confirmed that the brothers will be in prison for 15 days. This is a huge frustration to the Lord's campus work in China, especially the work here which the Lord has raised up some four years ago.

Thus, please pray accordingly. Pray also that:
1. The students will not encounter too much problem from their schools and that their studies will not be affected. (Because some students have already got to two records at school for these so-called "illegal religious gatherings" in the past half year.)
2. The seniors can rise up to function more in the campuses and not let Satan have his way in stopping their meetings and gathering in the campuses.
3. The direction and leading of the campus work and church life in Xiasha district, Hangzhou, now that there are no responsible ones to shepherd them.
4. The Lord continues to encourage and sustain all the saints, including the young working saints, their families and the students.

Shepherding the Believers concerning the Vision and Experience of the Tree of Life

I enjoy msg 6 of "Doing a Work of Three Sections- Incarnation, Inclusion and Intensification" with the topic: Doing a Work in the Section of Inclusion (3)- Shepherding the Believers concerning the Vision of Tree of Life. There is actually a mp3 file available at http://www.churchinchungho.org.tw (In mandarin) where the bro gave a bird-eye view of all the 9 msg of the training.

According to the divine revelation in the Scriptures, there are two trees, two sources, two ways, two principles, and two consummations. The two trees are the tree of life signifying Triune God as life to man in man's relationship with Him; the tree of the knowledge of good and evil signifying Satan. The tree of life is the source of men who seek God as their life supply and enjoyment; the tree of knowledge of good and evil is the source of men who follow Satan. Bro Lee once said "the source we choose determine the fruit of our work." This is really a warning to us.

There are two ways from the two sources. The way of life is the constricted way for men to seek God, to gain God, and to enjoy God in His eternal life. The second way is the way of death and of good and evil, the broad way, for men to follow Satan to be his children. The first principle is the principle of life- the principle of dependence on God; the second principle of death and of good and evil- the principle of independence from God. Finally, there are two consummations- the consummation of God's way of life is a city of water of life, the New Jerusalem; the consummation of the way of death and of good and evil is a lake of fire.

I am also enlightened to see that the tree of life is not only for us to eat but also for us to abide in. The Gospel of John reveals that Christ is the fulfillment of the figure of the tree of life. If we put together John 1:4 and 15:5, He is the tree of life and the vine tree. Hence once we eat Him we are united organically with Him.

Today we need to access the tree of life, eat the tree of life, abide in the tree of life, and live as parts of tree of life. Someone who lives as a parts of tree of life "care not for good and evil", "but care for life" and "discern matters of not according to right and wrong but according to life and death." Praise the Lord! We need to have this vision when shepherding the believers. May the Lord have mercy on us.

Power of Christ's Resurrection

"The various kinds of situations and circumstances in our daily life are all for us to know the power of Christ’s resurrection. We are not trying to be a Christian. Rather, we are living out a Christian life. To be a Christian is not a matter of trying, but a matter of living. Trying depends on human effort; living depends on resurrection. Hymns, #362 says, “He died for me that I might live,” and “He lives for me that I may live.” The Lord did not only die for me, but He also lives for me so that I can live. Instead of trying by myself, I am living by Him." (extracted from Words of Life from the 1988 Full-Time Training-Chapter 5)

"In the church life, whether in the brothers’ houses or the sisters’ houses, if we live by the divine and resurrected life, this life will put to death our natural affection. In this way, we will have the same love toward all the brothers and sisters and will not be close to some and distant from others. If we daily die to our self, to our natural affection and opinions, the power of the resurrection life within will operate, and the divine life and nature will be manifested from within us. As elders, co-workers, and brothers or sisters, when we come among the saints, the first thing we need to do is to die to ourselves, not having our own choice, taste, or desire. Only then will the power of the resurrection life be able to operate within us, and only then will the resurrection life be able to be dispensed into others through us. This was the life that the Lord lived on the earth: dying to the self and living out the Father’s life. Today, if we believers are to live Him and follow Him, we need to have the same kind of living.

Christ as the real Jubilee

In Sibu we are pursuing the Gospel of Luke Vol 2. I am once again reminded it is not that we lost God, we left God.. the year of the jubilee is the returning of man to his own possession.. and our possession is just God Himself! Praise the Lord! How higher can this be?? we have the highest God as OUR possession... Hallelujah! i thank the Lord for reminding me this.. Whenever we live by the Lord, we are living the jubilee. When we don't live by the Lord, we are not living the jubilee. May the Lord gain us that we may live by the Lord and Enjoy Him fully as the real jubilee.

弟兄今晚小排聚会的分享很开启我，当时我们是在路加晨兴圣言第十篇：丧失魂生命与得胜者的被提。

路加九23-24：“耶稣又对众人说，若有人要跟从我，就当否认己，天天背起他的十字架，并跟从我。因为凡要救自己魂生命的，必丧失魂生命；凡为我丧失自己魂生命的，必救了魂生命。”今天我们都是跟从主的人，需要丧失魂在今世的享受。若我们真的认识自己的魂，就知道它其实打岔和拦阻我们跟从主，所以我们都需要丧失魂生命。弟兄也说服事主的人都丧失魂，为着主和召会。今天召会生活里需要丧失魂生命的人，那我们才越聚越往前，主才有路。

丧失魂来跟从主享受主，其实就是作成我们自己的救恩。弟兄提到诺亚建造方舟，结果那方舟就成了诺亚和他一家的救恩，逃避神那时代的审判。建造方舟就是建造召会。唯有藉着丧失魂，跟从主，学习服事，我们就能作成救恩，有分与得胜者的被提，逃避要来的事。

We need to lose our soul-life in order to follow the Lord. In the church life today, we need to be the ones who lose our soul-life and serve Him- this will become our own salvation- this is for the building up of His church. Just like Noah who built the ark- that became the salvation of himself and his family, that avoided God's judgement in that age. Praise the Lord!

God's Sovereignty

We just came back from the Petaling Jaya meeting hall and the brother shared concerning the three stages of Christ's ministry. I am once again enlightened to see the importance of God's administration. Without God's sovereign arrangement, none of us can be saved.. that's what really touched me. I feel enlightened when i know that everything is under God's hand.. Sometimes we will try to do something to make our situation better when it isn't, but if that is not what God wants, no matter how hard we try, we still won't get it.. haha, like what the bro said.. even if you knocked your head against the wall till your head starts to bleed you still would not be saved if He didn't want you to be saved. :P

I treasure that in Luke 12:7 the Lord told us, "but that even the hairs of your head have all been numbered. Do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows." Praise the Lord! We are of more value than many sparrows~

About two months ago, we had this BioScience class test and our requirement was just to pass it so that we wouldn't have to resit the paper. After studying everything I needed to, I had been so confident that i would score in that paper. However, the Lord has His way.. that day i had our exam time table mixed up and i reached the exam hall a few minutes late. I was panicking inwardly because we only had 1 hour to finish the paper and i was afraid i wouldn't have time to finish it. Luckily i managed to finish it on time. However, when i was just about to hand the paper in i realised that i had only shaded till answer 39. We had 40 questions and i realised that i must haved missed out shading an answer around question 20+ and all my answers have been brought up. To cut the long story short, (and the short story long :P lol, those who were at the prayer meeting that night would understand what this is..) through this experience, I knew that everything was in the Lord's hands and I learnt to submit to Him as the sovereign One. No matter how i tried to improve my situation (I told the lecturers, the semester coordinator and I even wrote a letter to the Dean), it still didn't work. That night i learnt to let down everything and just leave everything to the Lord.. That's an experience i hope never to forget. Praise the Lord that i could gain more of Him through that experience~

Am I the lost coin?

After Sister Peiyun has explained to me the story of the one lost coin, and this verse in Gospel of Matthew 4:19 which say that: Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” One thing has appeared in my mind: Am I really the one lost coin which God seeks?

Thinking back of all the events happening on me, I felt like God has never given up any chance to draw me towards Him.

I could still remember few months ago when I was suffering from extreme stress and depression, I read the bible and prayed every night hoping that Lord can listen to my prayers. And eventually yes, things were getting better and that was the best moment that I ever had.

I could still remember my first day in IMU. I was waiting for the white coat ceremony to begin when a girl sat beside me and requested something. She is Paula and my very first friend in campus. She took part in the survey form distributed by the sisters and was called to meet one day. I just accompanied her, decided to be a listener and let them discuss among themselves. Soon, I was involved in the conversation as well. That was the first time I met Sister Peiyun and May.

From then on Sister Peiyun has brought me to some gatherings where I started to listen to gospel. Gradually I found that I do enjoy a lot, and here came the day I started my bible study. Before this I considered “bible study” as a kind of “studying”, but once Brother Tiansheng told me that, “It’s not learning, for you’ve learnt enough from school.”

Yes, the spiritual inheritance which God has given to us includes the invisible Holy Spirit and the visible Holy Bible. The Scripture is God-breathed (2 Tim. 3:16). Our greatest joy, or shall we say, our greatest blessing, is to be able to contact God and taste Him daily through the word of His breath. In order to be living and strong before God, we cannot depend on bread alone, but on every word, that is, the word of the Bible, that proceeds out through the mouth of God. The teachings of the Bible can give us endurance, encouragement, and hope (Rom. 15:4). I have never been annoyed with anyone, but there’s one time I felt like I’m going to burst out. It so happened that God told me in time through this verse: Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. (Matt 6:44). And yea, God prevents me from making enemies; God leads me to a more peaceful life.

Even after I have left my dearest home to live in this hustle and bustle of the city, God still seek after me by "placing" something at my hostel. It so happened that my friend told me there’s an envelope on the fridge (it actually belongs to the previous person who stays in my unit) containing the publications of “Our Daily Bread” from RBC ministries.(See the above picture.) I can’t imagine that if it’s true God still continues looking for the one lost coin.

A Christian is like a train which needs motivating power within and tracks without. Having these two aspects – the inward and the outward – coordinating together, the train can move, even move very well. Am I really the one lost coin which God seeks? I guess the day will come to answer my question… n_n

As you learn to praise, you will find that there are days in which you cannot gather yourself to praise. Perhaps you praised God seven times today, yesterday, and the day before. But one day you will find that you cannot utter a praise. On such days you are in pain, total darkness, or dire trouble. On such days you suffer misunderstanding and slander. You are busy shedding tears of self-pity. You feel that the most obvious response would be complaint rather than praise. Keep the Oneness

Today when I was in uni and walking down the staircase, I came across to an advertistment on the noticeboard saying: "Catholic - Protestant: Celebrate the Difference". Inside me there was a thought. Why do the people celebrate the difference? Aren't all the believers have been regenerated and put on the one new man in Christ?

We have to know that this is Satan's work to harm the Body. Look at the Christianity. They even celebrate the difference among them. But praise the Lord! Satan had been judged, and he can only delay's his own "death sentence"- which will be carried out by the church, the overcomers.

Today we should learn to keep the oneness. The true oneness is the oneness of the Triune God Himself. Bro Lee urged us to learn to keep the oneness. Learn means we are not in oneness by our own, but we need to learn. We need to exercise our spirit, and remain in the mingled Spirit. Halleluyah!

Message 10 : The Losing of the SOul-LiFe for the Rapture (R.K.)

Brother Ron Kangas presented five points that will create in us a positive attitude toward the portions in Luke concerning the cross, the losing of the soul-life, and our forsaking all.

1. Needing a Governing Vision of Christ, the Cross, the Self, and the Kingdom and Kingdom Reward
2. Needing a SUPREME Love for the Lord
3. Needing to be in Absolute Oneness with the Lord
4. Having the Perspective of the Jubilee
5. Each of Us Being on a God-ordained Journey with the Lord

~ I was enlightened to see that our self is difficult to see, for it is elusive and hates the light.. we always like to protect our 'self' from being exposed to the light for fear of causing it to suffer. Anytime we are in the self, we are bound. When we are bound, we are not in the jubilee but in slavery. However, when we are one with the Lord and are governed by these five points, we will enjoy the real jubilee inwardly.

~ Most of the time, when my alarm sounded, i would pick my handphone up from the floor, hit the snooze alarm, put it beside me on my bed and sleep off again. This happens ever so often that it becomes a reflex action; sometimes i don't even remember doing that and i end up being late for lectures and other appointments.. What Bro Ron said was true. We all have a "snooze button" in our natural life. In our experience the Lord may tell us that it is time to separate from a certain activity or thing...but we may linger and ask the Lord for more time. We may tell the Lord, "...Lord.. Can't i have five more minutes?" That's especially true when i'm watching movies back at home.

~ One more point which touched me in the message is that an overcomer does not linger. Overcomers do not linger because the lingering element has been touched within them. We linger in the earthly things because we care for our soul's enjoyment in the present age. Lot and his family knew the Lord was going to destroy Sodom and that they had to leave, but they still lingered. The angels told them "Do not look behind you"; but Lot's wife looked back. When the rapture comes, many Christians will also look back. All of us have a looking-back, lingering soul-life within us.. Do not think that we are able to resist temptation by our natural strength. Just like Esau, when we are ravenously hungry for something in our soul, in that moment we may say to ourselves, "Forget the birthright, and forget the future. I have to have this right now. I must seize the day and enjoy the moment. Forget what is coming." That moment of enjoyment may cause us to lose everything. We may lose the jubilee in the coming age. We need to let this God-man as the Spirit empower us from within. We must leave the world "far, far behind" us (Hymn #438). We do not know how far, because we refuse to look back and we will NOT look back. We are pressing on.

Lord, gain me to discover my heart's real treasure and let it be manifested. It is the Lord's mercy that before the time for the rapture, He gives us many "trial runs". We often fail these trial runs, but through them we eventually will stop looking back. We may own all of the things we have now, but we will no longer look back..

Brother Ron's prayer (and also ours) : "O Lord Jesus, we long to be there! To stand with You on Mount Zion.... May we all be on our journey, following You wherever You may go, taking up our cross, denying the self, losing the soul-life, and being separated from everything and released from everyone and really really enjoying You to the uttermost... Cause us to live You even in the midst of our daily routine..Make us those who follow the Lamb wherever He may go"

~ May the Lord gain each and everyone of us that we may love Him to the uttermost and follow Him till the very end ~

Plan for coming Wed- for all IMU bro sis

Bro and sis, in this coming Raya break, let's us make use of the time for the Lord and more blending among the bro and sis. This evening, I saw everyone was so busy rushing home and I was stuck in the heavy traffic with all the buses. Everyone was so anxious to excape from this city and go home for Raya break. But we as the bro and sis in Christ, we should come together for more enjoying of the Lord.

Next Wed(1/10), we'd planned to have corporate morning revival in the morning (around 7am) on IMU hill (we call it"Mt of Zion" ). Since we do not have class in the following week, hope that all the bro and sis can wake up earlier for the morning revival. The brothers need to wake up early also, and I'll bring the guitar. It is going to be very enjoyable!

In evening, we'll go for exercise (badminton, basketball etc) in the park at Br Ho's taman. The time is not fixed yet. Will inform all of you soon. Then at night, we'll have a lovefeast, and fellowship among the saints. Praise the lord! Hope bro and sis can add more idea for this break.

Having steamboat with the brothers and sisters was a very good idea.. but was a bit sad coz not everyone could make it though... T.T Anyway, hope that there will be more blendings like this b4 we all graduate.. >.<

Btw, here are some photos and a video of the steamboat gathering... Enjoy~ :P

Oh ya, i've checked with some of the bros and sis.. we're thinking of having another dinner together but this time it'll be a steamboat+ grill buffet and it's estimated to cost less than RM 20 per person. Since it's a buffet, we can choose to eat whatever we want and eat to our heart's content. Hopefully in this way, we can take our time to blend together as well..
